Job Description

We currently have opportunities within our Maintenance department for skilled Refrigeration Technicians and Engine Drivers. In this position you will play a crucial role in managing amonia refrigeration and boilers and carry out regular checks on plant. You will report directly to the Maintenance Manager and will work with a wide range of teams across the site.

About the Role: 

  • Regularly monitor and record refrigeration temperatures
  • Maintain temperatures in key areas like boning rooms and cryovac
  • Keep units in the tunnel and blast units clean
  • Check and maintain boilers, ensuring efficient operation
  • Follow plant security procedures
  • Conduct regular checks for leaks and address promptly
  • Inform the maintenance supervisor of necessary repairs

About you:

  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Relevant qualifications are a plus; training provided
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of production processes
  • Commitment to compliance with Company Policies, Procedures, and regulations
  • Reliable with a proven work history
  • Willingness to work a rotating roster and undertake weekend maintenance
  • Experience in a food processing environment is highly desirable
